The **"A Seat at the Table: Good Nutrition for Baden-Württemberg"** umbrella campaign is marking its first anniversary and will present the achievements of the **Baden-Württemberg Nutrition Strategy**—which it represents—at **Nutrition Day 2025**. "We will also use Nutrition Day 2025 as an opportunity to engage with the stakeholders implementing the strategy's measures and advocating for better nutrition across Baden-Württemberg, exchanging ideas and further developing our approach," said **Peter Hauk**, Minister for Food, Rural Affairs, and Consumer Protection, ahead of the event.

**Nutrition Day Highlights Progress of the Nutrition Strategy**

The Ministry for Food, Rural Affairs, and Consumer Protection, together with its subordinate authorities and a wide network of partners, is working through the Baden-Württemberg Nutrition Strategy to improve dietary habits across the state. "For example, they are promoting nutrition education to encourage healthier, more sustainable, and enjoyable eating—with a focus on (organic) regional produce," Minister Hauk emphasized.

Efforts also include reducing **food waste**, advising large-scale kitchens, and supporting shorter supply chains. "This not only enhances food quality but also protects our local environment and strengthens (organic) regional agriculture," the minister added.

Twenty institutions showcased their projects and initiatives aligned with the strategy's **nine guiding principles**, using the event for networking and collaboration. Over the past year, these measures have been unified under the "A Seat at the Table: Good Nutrition for Baden-Württemberg" brand and its "BW at the Table" logo, making them more visible to people across the state.

**The Future of Nutrition and the Strategy**

Attendees at Nutrition Day explored the future of food through engaging presentations and discussed the strategy's **nine guiding principles** in themed workshops, gathering fresh ideas for new approaches.

"We are laying the foundation today for the continued development of Baden-Württemberg's nutrition strategy in the coming years. Our motto is clear: we move forward together, because only through collaboration can we succeed in improving nutrition for everyone," Minister Hauk stated.

**Baden-Württemberg's Nutrition Strategy**

Baden-Württemberg boasts a rich culinary landscape—from local fruits and vegetables to traditional specialties and innovative, sustainable food concepts. For the Ministry for Food, Rural Affairs, and Consumer Protection, good food means more than just enjoyment—it represents health, regional identity, sustainability, community, and responsibility.

This is the core mission of the **Baden-Württemberg Nutrition Strategy**, embodied by its umbrella campaign, **"A Seat at the Table: Good Nutrition for Baden-Württemberg."**

The ministry consolidates nutrition education programs, supports large-scale kitchen consulting, and champions shorter supply chains. These efforts not only raise food standards but also safeguard the local environment and bolster (organic) regional farming. **Environmental Protection** **Health** **Agriculture** **Consumer Protection**
