Altai Territory Governor Viktor Tomenko recently visited Biysk to inspect the region's growing technopark sector. His tour included AltaiBiotech, a key facility specialising in dietary supplement production and research. The trip highlighted the area's focus on business support and import-substitution initiatives.

During his visit, Tomenko explored AltaiBiotech, the only technopark of its kind in Russia dedicated to dietary supplements. The facility hosts seven resident companies focused on developing health products. With a total budget exceeding 1.2 billion rubles, the project aims to strengthen the region's position in the sector.

The governor also discussed the importance of technoparks in driving economic growth. Altai Territory currently has three such hubs: AltaiBiotech in Biysk, Komponent in Barnaul, and Yug Altaya in Rubtsovsk. Tomenko expressed confidence in their ability to attract new businesses and support local initiatives. Officials emphasised the region's favourable conditions for expanding the dietary supplement industry. Business support, particularly through technoparks, remains a priority for boosting import substitution and innovation.

The visit underscored Altai Territory's commitment to developing its technopark network. AltaiBiotech's role in dietary supplement research and production is expected to grow further. With continued investment, the region aims to solidify its place in Russia's health product market.
