A 5K Fun Run/Walk to support Veterans and their families will take place at Spring Canyon Park on Sunday, May 17. The event, organised by the Healing Warriors Program, offers a chance for people of all ages and fitness levels to participate while raising funds for free wellness services. The Healing Warriors Program is a nonprofit that provides no-cost, non-narcotic therapies to Veterans and their families. Services include acupuncture, Healing Touch therapy, and craniosacral therapy, all delivered by licensed practitioners. In 2025, participants reported major improvements, with anxiety dropping by 61%, emotional discomfort by 57%, and pain by 55%.
The 5K event starts at 10 a.m., with check-in and activities beginning at 9 a.m. Runners and walkers can choose to compete or take a casual approach, as the race is professionally timed. Tickets cost between £25 and £40, and registered participants will receive a branded race shirt and a goody bag. Morning festivities will feature snacks, food, music, and community activities. The event aims to bring people together while supporting mental health and wellness for those who have served in the military.
Proceeds from the 5K will help fund free wellness care for Veterans and their families. The Healing Warriors Program continues to expand its services, offering proven therapies to reduce pain, anxiety, and emotional distress. Registration remains open for those looking to take part in the event.
